VeloMetro Mobility Inc., a company focused on developing 21st century alternatives for transportation in urban areas, has been accepted to the Autodesk Cleantech Partner Program and granted licenses of Autodesk Product Design Suite and Autodesk Fusion 360 for a period of three years. VeloMetro will use these licenses to develop automotive designs, engineer digital prototypes, and complete virtual crash testing of their next-generation Veemo™, a fully-enclosed three-wheeled electric bicycle that functions like an automobile and is designed for use in urban areas.
“We are very pleased to be accepted by this esteemed Autodesk program,” said Kody Baker, Founder and CTO of VeloMetro Mobility Inc. “Our team of engineers and designers will use this state-of-the-art software to create our next-generation velocar. Specifically, we will use this suite of software to conceptualize vehicle designs, engineer our vehicle systems, organize our engineering files, interface with our international team of automotive design experts, ensure rider safety via digital crash testing, and render our early marketing materials.”
“Cleantech companies like Velometro are addressing some of the most important challenges facing our world today,” said Catherine Doyle, global lead of Autodesk’s Cleantech Initiative. “We are proud to support their growth and success through the Autodesk Cleantech Partner Program.”
VeloMetro Mobility Inc. plans to introduce their vehicle to the urban transportation market through a sharing service that will initially launch in Vancouver, BC, but is poised to scale globally.
